I work primarily with analogue processes, film that is. It’s a messy, dirty job, and I love it. The smell of the chemicals, the tactile nature of the film, the meditative moments while I stand in my kitchen, sporadically inverting a developing tank; all come together to make this process deeply worthwhile.
Shooting with film is a slow, ponderous process that requires forethought, planning and mindfulness. It breeds patience, and defies instant gratification.
